To The Women I Love…and All Women, Everywhere…

Standard

Why…

do we insist

that we’re not enough?

Not beautiful enough,

not smart enough

not rich enough

not…enough.

We dwell

on the smallest freckle

or a few grey hairs

or the tiny wrinkles

around our eyes

or other things that

we should, instead,

be celebrating.

When if we could

only understand

we are so much more

than those things

we find fault with.

If we could see

really see

our own brilliance

the way our soul shines

sending out it’s light

to all around us

we would know

without a doubt

that we are, truly,

fabulous.

About chere

Hi there! My name is Chere, and I love to write, and initially created this blog to do just that - write! I am first and foremost a mom of 3 amazing young adults, 2 great children - in - law, and 4 grandbabies that are the love of my life! I am also a Reiki Master Practioner, and an office administrator. I live in beautiful Victoria, BC and I'm just a gal who's been around and learned a few things along the way. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy! Chere

  1. You are enough!

This reminds me of a poem that Shannon Lagasse from Hunger for Happiness recently posted… perhaps you ought to read/listen to it, as the two of you seem to have the same ideas floating around in your heads!
